The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 auction has started at 3 pm on Thursday. 292 cricketers are going under the hammer in the auction process. However, a total of 61 player slots are free for the eight franchises, so only 61 of the 292 will get lucky in the IPL auction. The auction is special for the cricket fans of Assam as it features Assam batsman Sahil Jain and all-rounder Rajjakuddin Ahmed. In addition, another northeastern player in the auction is a leg-spinner from Nagaland Kreivst Krenche. All three players will have a base price of Rs. 20 lakhs.
