Union Minister Amit Shah today inaugurated the interstate bus terminal at Mawiong, East Khasi Hills in Meghalaya.
Along with Shah, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Union Minister For Culture, Tourism And Development Of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy, and Union Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh were also present at the inaugural ceremony.

Taking to Twitter CM Sangma wrote, “A befitting tribute to North East as Hon’ble Union Home Minister, who is also Chairman of NEC inaugurates the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at Mawiong, Shillong.” Speaking at the inaugural ceremony Shah said that it will improve road connectivity of the Northeast and will make the region an economic hub.
