Covid 19 Update: Meghalaya reports 422 new cases, 3 deaths

Health department officials on Thursday informed that 422 new Covid 19 cases have been reported on Wednesday in Shillong.

Meghalaya Director of Health Services, Dr Aman War, informed that the state has now 3,925 active cases, while the death toll rose to 921, with three more succumbing – two from East Khasi Hills district and one from West Jaintia Hills.

A total of 458 patients have recovered, taking the total to 50,794 in the northeastern state.

Health authorities have so far conducted 7.53 lakh sample tests for Covid 19. Totally, 8.38 lakh people were vaccinated till Tuesday with 1.03 lakh of them have been received both doses of the vaccine, War said.
