Narendra Modi to interact with the Chief Ministers of the Northeast

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the eight Chief Ministers of the Northeast on Tuesday over the tense situation of COVID-19 situation in the region. The Prime Minister is expected to speak with the Chief Ministers of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and Sikkim via video conference.

Many experts have pointed out the serious situation of the northeast and said that the matter is of great concern as cases are on the rise.

According to Sitabhra Sinha, who recently led a team of researchers, Manipur, Arunachal and Tripura to some extent have become a matter of concern.

According to their analysis, the R-value for Manipur is 1.07, Meghalaya 0.92,Tripura 1.15,Mizoram 0.86,Arunachal 1.14,Sikkim 0.88,Assam0.86. R-factor indicates the speed at which the infection is spreading in the country.
