New Lockdown Relaxation Rules In Kamrup(M)

News Desk: New lockdown guidelines issued by the Government of Assam, allowed several relaxations. Only essential activities will be allowed. In continuation of Notification No. ASDMA 24/2020/Pan-1/76 dated 26″ June.2020 and pursuance of MHA Guidelines issued vide No 40-3/2020-DM-I(A) dated 29” June 2020, the following activities are allowed for the week between 5” July 2020 and 12th July 2020 with strict observance of all COVID 19 in Kamrup Metropolitan District:

  1. Grocery shops are allowed to operate between 11 AM and 4 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays

(6th & 8th July 2020). However, Deputy Commissioner shall issue requisite directives to ensure

that only 20% of all shops are allowed to open on any given day. Shopkeepers and customers

shall have to wear masks, hand gloves, and maintain social distancing. Responsibility of

maintenance of social distancing will be on the shop owner and failure to do so will be viewed

very seriously and may entail summary closure of defaulting shops. Maintenance of price line and

prevention of artificial shortage will be the responsibility of shop keepers and Food, Civil Supplies

and Consumer Affairs Department.

  1. Whole sellers of grocery items are slowed to replenish stocks of retailers on Sunday (6th July,

2020) and Tuesday (7th July, 2020) between 3 PM and 6 PM. No retail sale is allowed in this


  1. Activities relating to essential items supply from and to FCI establishments shall be allowed to

operate. FC) will ensure that social distancing is maintained while loading/ unloading of goods

and that vehicles carrying goods to the outside of the District proceed to destinations without any

stoppage inside the Kamrup Metropolitan District under any circumstances,

  1. House to house sale of fruits and vegetables shall be allowed between 8 AM and 2 PM on Monday

and Wednesday (6th & 8th July 2020);

  1. Activities relating to wholesale distribution of medicines and medical equipment shall be allowed

between 10 AM and 3 PM only on Monday and Wednesday/ 6th & 8th  July, 2020) ;

  1. Veterinary clinics, veterinary medicine shops are allowed to operate on all days between 10 AM

and 4 PM. Feed shops are allowed to operate on Monday (6 July, 2020) and Wednesday (8th July, 2020);

  1. E-commerce distribution activities are allowed between 11 AM and 4 PM on Friday (10 July,

2020) only;

  1. Post Offices and Life Insurance Corporation offices are allowed to operate with only 10% of total

employee strength and only 10 % of total branches:

No roadside vending of any fruit, vegetable, fish etc. will be allowed;

All other restrictions as imposed vide our order no. ASDMA.24/2020/Part-1/76 dated.
