The United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) on Friday morning released abducted ONGC employee Ritul Saikia at the Mon district in the Nagaland-Myanmar border.

The development comes after Assam CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma urged ULFA-I chief Paresh Baruah to release Ritul Saikia at a press conference on Thursday.

Ritul Saikia’s family thanked ULFA (I) Chief Paresh Baruah and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for releasing their son after a couple of months.
