Lower Primary Schools in Lakhimpur Closed Down Due to Covid-19 Surge

The decision is based on an order issued by the Assam Government on April 20.

With the active number of COVID-19 cases in Lakhimpur crossing the 100 mark on Saturday, the Deputy Commissioner of the district, therefore, announced the closure of all the lower primary schools upto class 5 in the district.

The decision is based on an order issued by the Assam Government on April 20 which directed that all the lower primary schools including the non-government ones upto class V will have to close down in the districts where the number of cases has crossed the 100 mark.
