Flood Rescue Operation Carried Out By 1St Bn NDRF At Barpeta

News Desk: The 1St Bn NDRF Guwahati on July 26 carried out a Search and Rescue operation. The Search and Rescue (SAR) operation team carried out the rescue operation at Dighirpam Bazar village. Dighirpam Bazar comes under the Bhagbor revenue circle of Barpeta District (Assam).

The G SAR team comprised of Inspector Abhijeet Kumar Verma. He was accompanied by SO and ORs teams.  A total of 22 rescue personnel left from the pre-positioned team location. The team location was situated at Howli of Barpeta district. The team left for Dighirpam village at around 8 A.m. in the morning. They reached the operation site at around 10:30 A.m. and started to carry out the rescue operation.


The Search and Rescue operation ended at around 2:20 P.m. The rescue team managed to evacuate 85 villagers and 20 livestock. Out of the 85 villagers, 26 were male, 29 females, and 30 children.
