Dry day has been announced in Assam on May 2 and 3 due to the counting of votes of the assembly elections that were held recently.

The excise department of the state has notified the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts in this regard.

It is worth mentioning that dry day will be implemented on May 3 only in those districts where counting of votes will continue till 11 am of the next day.

Counting of votes of the Assam assembly elections will take place on May 2.
