Curfew Likely to be Advanced to 12 pm in Guwahati, Dibrugarh & Tinsukia from Monday

Assam CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has advised the Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts to prepone the curfew time from 2 pm to 12 pm from Monday.

Due to the increasing COVID-19 cases in Kamrup (Metro), Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts of the state, Assam CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has advised the Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts to prepone the curfew time from 2 pm to 12 pm from Monday.

The DCs were asked to take the decision after consulting with the common people.

“I have advised them to increase the curfew hours by two more hours. I have advised them to enforce the curfew from 12 PM instead of present 2 PM. I have also asked them to enforce micro containment zones,” Dr. Sarma said while speaking to the media.
