BSF Apprehends Two Fake Currency Racketeers along Bangladesh border

In yet another success in the crusade of Border Security Force against smuggling activities, the 67 Battalion BSF under the aegis of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force apprehended two Indian Fake Currency racketeers.

The two fake currency racketeers were apprehended along with Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) face value of Rs. 2,00,000.
The arrest was done on June 7, 2021 from the bordering area of village Baladova in Dhubri district, Assam.
Acting on tip-off, on June 7, 2021, a special operation was organized by the Border Security Force (BSF) troops of Border outpost (BOP) Tistapara of 67 Battalion BSF.
The operation was carried out in the general area of village Baladova, close to the Indo-Bangladesh border.

The operation party apprehended two Indian FICN racketeers along with fake currency of value Rs. 2,00,000 while the consignment was trying to be smuggled from Bangladesh to India.
Details of the two apprehended FICN racketeers are –
• Hussain Ali (45 Yrs), S/o –Jonab Ali, R/o Vill – Binachar Part-IV, PS – Golakganj, Distt – Dhubri (Assam).
• Muslimudding Hoque, (25 Yrs), S/o Boskar Ali, R/o Vill-Baladova Part-I, PS & Distt- Dhubri (Assam).

Taking to Twitter, BSF Guwahati informed –
“On 07 June 2021, in a special operation, troops of 67 Bn under aegies of @BSF_Guwahati Ftr apprehended 02 Indian a/w Fake Indian currency having face value Rs. 200000/- while being smuggled from Bangladesh to India border under PS -Dhubri. @BSF_India @PIB_Guwahati”

The two apprehended racketeers along with the seized FICN have been handed over to the Dhubri Police Station for further legal action.
