Assam Son Shines at International Level Bringing Accolade to State

Assam son Subhasish Das once again excelled at the International level bringing glory and accolade to the state.

The youth hails from Guwahati, Assam, and his radio drama “The Annoying Tap Water” got listed in the Highly Commended section of the International Radio Playwriting Competition 2020.
The International Radio Playwriting Competition is organized by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) World Service along with the British Council. It is an international competition offering unique opportunities for playwrights to use the medium of radio drama to reach an international audience. Entries come from 15 different countries and across all seven regions.

“Stories are everywhere; hidden at every simplest corner of your house. Just look around and connect the dots. Miracle shall unveil. Thus, the irritating, annoying sound of leaked Water tap of my kitchen has become the premise of the dramatic Radio play – The Annoying Water Tap.”, Subhasish quoted.

He is an aspiring author, creative supervisor, and also a copywriter. This is not the first time that he has brought glory to the state, earlier he also won the ‘Pamper Premium Care Saudi Arabia Campaign Award Contest, 2020’.
He authored the book, ‘Time Machine: Memories from the Eastern Plains’. He is also an avid Copywriter and an advertising fan.
