Assam: First Cabinet Meeting of Newly Formed Govt Held, Key Decisions

The first cabinet of Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma-led government was held on Tuesday.

In meeting it was decided to form a committee headed by Finance Minister Ajanta Neog to provide government jobs to 1 lakh youths as promised in the elections.

In addition, another committee to look after the loan waiver of Micro finance companies has also been formed.

Also, revised COVID norms will be announced by Assam Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah and DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta tomorrow at 11 am

In addition, it was decided in the meeting that cabinet meetings will be every Wednesday from 11am to 1 pm.
