Terror attack on CRPF: CRPF personnel and a minor killed in J&K’s Bijbehara

National Desk: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper and a minor boy were killed in a terrorist attack on Friday.

The incident took place when motor-cycle borne terrorists open fired on a party of 90 Battalion CRPF in the Bijbehara area of Anantnag district at 12:05 pm today.

The CRPF trooper identified as Shymal Kumar was hit by a bullet in the head and the minor boy was critically injured in the attack. They were taken to a hospital where both of them succumbed to their injuries.

According to news agency IANS, the security forces have cordoned off the area and a hunt has been launched to nab the attackers.

In the meantime, three terrorists have been killed in an encounter at Chewa Ular in the Tral area of Awantipora, Pulwama district on Friday. The encounter was raging since Thursday evening and is still underway.
