If You Never Had A Friend, You Have Not Lived Well: Friendship Day

Friendship day

Lifestyle Desk: The more friends you have in life, the more enjoyable your life becomes. Friendship Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of August in India and falls on August 2 this year. It is the day people come together with their friends to celebrate each other and the relationship that exists between them. Friendship Day is just an opportunity to let your friends know that you value their presence in your life.

Meeting up with our friends, and going to parties on weekends. However, everything seems to have come at a standstill, all due to this unexpected and unwanted coronavirus pandemic.

We missed the most during these last few tough days were our friends. It definitely becomes exhausting to be not able to meet the buddies and share all your life problems or happiness with them.

Friends are always around to lighten the mood when tensions are high or as an emotional sounding board when we need to rant about our life’s misgivings.

Here are some quotes by famous people-

“Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow
Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead
Walk beside me, just be my friend”Albert Camus

“Friends are the family you choose.”Jess C Scott

“Good friends, good books, and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life.” Mark Twain

“There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature.”Jane Austen

“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk through my garden forever.”

Alfred Tennyson

“I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light.”Helen Keller

“Life is an awful, ugly place to not have a best friend.” Sarah Dessen

“What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.”Aristotle
