Headline8 did a fact check of the picture and here is what we found out:

Investigation:

We did a google reverse image search of the post and we could not find any matching results.

So to further the investigation, we went through the official Hindustan Times website- https://www.hindustantimes.com/ and we could not find any web story regarding the matter on it. We searched further and we found out that the web story that is being circulated is 15-year-old news, published on September 7, 2006.
