The gunman, identified as 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole of Indiana, killed himself after the shooting on early Friday morning.
The incident came a week after President Joe Biden branded gun violence an ‘epidemic’ and ‘international embarrassment’.
About 90 percent of the workers at this delivery service facility are said to be Indian-Americans, mostly from the local Sikh community.

The four Sikhs who died during the mass shooting were identified as:
• Amarjit Kaur Sekhon (female, 48)
• Jaswinder Kaur (female)
• Amarjit Kaur Johal (female) and
• Jaswinder Singh (male).
The age of the last three deceased was not immediately available.
• Harpreet Singh Gill (male, 45) received an injury and was immediately hospitalized.
The Indianapolis Police are yet to release the names of the other people killed in the mass shooting.

US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris expressed condolences over the tragic killings.
“Vice President Harris and I have been briefed on the mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis. God bless the eight individuals we lost and their loved ones, and we pray for the wounded for their recovery.” President Biden Twitted.

Vice President Kamala Harris also took to Twitter stating,
“Our nation grieves with the families who lost loved ones in Indianapolis and we pray that those who were wounded recover quickly. As I said last week, we’ve had more tragedy than we can bear and solutions to prevent gun violence exist. @POTUS and I urge Congress to act.”
