Assam Police’s Success Against Terrorism, Six DNLA Rebels Shot Dead

The anti-terrorism operation was led by the Assam Police along with Assam Rifles. The encounter took place in the Dhansiri Area of Karbi Anglong district.

Six top listed Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) extremists were killed on Sunday in an encounter with the Assam Police and Assam Rifles.

The anti-terrorism operation was led by the Assam Police along with Assam Rifles. The encounter took place in the Dhansiri Area of Karbi Anglong district.
As per information provided by Assam Police:
• Four AK-47 rifles,
• Four revolvers,
• Grenades,
• Improvised guns and
• Huge rounds of ammunition
were found from the slain militants.

Assam Police Director General Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta stated that six hardcore top cadres of DNLA were neutralized in Karbi Anglong district when they fired at a joint team of Assam Police and Assam Rifles during an anti-terror operation.
The police chief said that the outlawed DNLA has been involved in kidnapping, extortion, killing, and these are not tolerated in Assam.
Recently, the counter-insurgency operations in the Dhansiripar area of the Karbi Anglong district, bordering Nagaland have been intensified.

“6 listed top cadres of DNLA in Karbi Anglong District were neutralised when they fired at a joint team of @assampolice and #AssamRifles during an anti-terror operation.
DNLA has been involved in kidnapping, extortion, killing etc. which are not tolerated in Assam. @official_dgar” Director General of Assam Police informed in his official Twitter page.

DGP Assam Police Bhaskar Jyoti Further informed the one SF personnel was injured during the operation but is out of danger now.
Further investigation is still going on.
