Assam Police Strikes Again, Recovers Illicit Items Worth Crores

In a major bust, the Assam Police on Wednesday recovered illicit items worth crores.
Based on an input, an operation was conducted by the Goalpara Police.

The successful operation was led by DySP (HQ) along with OC of Lakhipur Police station and IC of Jaleswar out-post. a search operation was conducted and a huge cache of drugs was recovered from the house of Johirul Islam, S/O Late Ataur Rahman situated in village Rajmita, Lakhipur.

The following items were recovered from Johirul Islam’s house:
• Heroin – 20 grams.
• Nitrosun Tablets – 55,190 pieces.
• R7 Tablets (Yaba) – 1,560 pieces.
• Fake Notes – Worth Rs. 9,19,000.
The accused was arrested during the search operation.

Further investigation is going on and the accused has been taken to police custody for necessary interrogation.
Taking to Twitter, Golaghat Police informed;
“In a successful operation, our Police team led by DySP(HQ) recovered lots of Drugs at house of Johirul Islam, Lakhipur.
Seized 20 gms Heroin,55190 Nitrosun tablets,
1560 R7 tablets n Fake notes worth 9 lakhs.
Accused was arrested from the ceiling of his house where he was hiding”
