Assam: Forest Personnel Seize Sal Logs from Goalpara and Barpeta

A vehicle loaded with sal logs was seized at Ambari Khekapara under Dhupdhara Beat of Rongjuli Range in Goalpara district on Monday.
Recently, the Assam Forest Department has been intensifying operations against illegal felling of trees and trade of timber.

Forest personnel of Dhupdhara Beat under the Ronjuli Range detected and seized a Mahindra DI vehicle.
The operation was commenced as per the direction of Forest Range Officer, Rongjuli Range, Salim Ahmed.
In the raid, the Mahindra DI was seized at around 2 am last night along with several sal logs.

In yet another operation conducted by Forest Range Officer, Goutam Mahanta, Barpeta Road Range, and his personnel at Zabrimari area under Kalgeshia Police Station in Barpeta district on Tuesday, six numbers of matured sal logs were recovered.
